Northerlies were forecast all week, and the tides were good so went to ryde as there would be flat water there pretty much all day. Got the ferry over at 9, and got to the beach by about half 10. had to wait for the wind, it arrived at about 12, so went out then. it was flipping freezing, and the wind was all over the place. Seemed to be gusting alot down the solent, so some times i was powered, and others i was really under. As it was so cold no one was trying anything spectacular as no one wanted to fall in !Got fed up after about an hour, and came in for lunch. planned to go out again, but it was so cold that i just got changed and called it a day. Managed to miss the ferry back too, so didnt get back until 8.
